Luke Donald didn’t declare his deal extension with his sponsor Mizuno by shooting a funny ad with fellow Mizuno golfer Charles Howell III or at an international press conference. Instead, Luke did it via a small telephone from Florida as he was preparing for the PGA Tour’s thirteenth season.
Speaking of his deal extension, Donald said that he would prefer to stick with what he knows. Luke has been with Mizuno for ten years and he has not been one of the tinker. TO Luke, Mizuno has a kind of family atmosphere.
Speaking about the deal ahead of the Championship (which online betting firm Unibet have him down as the favourite for), he said that he likes the attention he grabs at equipment truck when he requires to regrip his golf clubs or alter his lofts. Other organizations have to take care of a whole lot of golfers. Still, Luke tested with some other companies before he decided that he would stick to Mizuno that he has been a part of since his college days.
One of the primary sticking points for Luke is that he did not want a contract that pushed him to play all fourteen clubs from just a single manufacturer.
Luke said that he would find it hard, unless the deal was substantial to play all fourteen clubs. He would be lying if he said that he did not try other equipment, and he likes to have flexibility with the putter and the driver.
